The intelligent and fully automatic fill level measurement for public washrooms

Smart hygiene solutions for public areas

The problem: establishing comprehensive infection prevention

Hand hygiene is an indispensable prevention measure to combat the spread of infections, critical in the medical industry and beyond. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the importance of hand hygiene in public areas once again into focus. Time and resource constraints, a lack of qualified personnel, and more stringent hygiene regulations are placing further challenges in the way of cleaning and maintenance personnel, posing the question of how to reconcile these growing demands with already strained resources.

The solution: connected washrooms with intelligent dispensers

With data collected by the OPHARDT Washroom Monitoring System®  (OWMS), facility management can organize cleaning teams in a much more targeted manner, and only deploy when necessary. All dispensers report their needs in real time via WiFi. Built-in sensors detect when a dispenser reaches a critical fill level, and automatically send this data to a base station. Comprehensive data on all washroom dispensers is collected centrally and saved in cloud storage. Using an app on a tablet or smartphone, facility management and cleaning staff can access information about individual fill levels and plan maintenance activities accordingly.
